To day we stopped to retrieve a mooring that had been on the sea bed for over a year at 3770m. The device is released from its anchor by a sonar pulse which open the retaining mechanism then it floats to the top to be picked up. This device measures sea depth, temperature ,current flow and temperature ,plus more. Again its been a nice day we have seen our first ice burgs today they are huge. Its cold on deck so most people have now started wearing their BAS issue clothes.
