Well after my Flight From Heathrow via Washington, Argentina and Montevideo I boarded the RRS Ernest Shackleton and made my self at home in my cabin which I shared with three others.I had two nights in Monty before setting sail to the Falklands which would take four days. The weather could not have been better, I managed to get sun burnt on the first day. We saw Whales, Dolphins,Seals and Albatrosses. On route I had to paint the deck above the Bridge, we all had to work at some point. The food was great, as much as you like and beer was only 50p a bottle and shorts 35p.Great. We arrived at Mares harbour on Friday 1st December.It was great to meet up with all my friends from BAS.
